Scott Randall Ankrom (born January 4, 1966) is a former professional American football wide receiver in the National Football League for the Dallas Cowboys. He played college football at Texas Christian University. ==Early years== Ankron attended John Jay High School where he was an All-American quarterback. He also excelled in track winning several 100m, 200m and 4x100m relay competitions. His 200 meter district record lasted for 24 years until it was broken in April 2007. In basketball he was the starting point guard and guided his team to a district championship and a regional final. He was the starting center fielder in baseball. He accepted a scholarship to play for Texas Christian University under head coach Jim Wacker. He was recruited as an athlete, so he was initially used in different positions.
